World celebrates Homeopathy awareness week.

Homeopathy awareness week was celebrated all over the world from 10th to 16th April 2019.

Even In India a two-day event was held to mark the awareness week. On this occasion, AYUSH Ministry, had organized International Convention on World Homoeopathy Day with theme “Enhancing Quality Research in Homoeopath”.
World over April 10 is celebrated as Homeopathy Day, since this day is the birthday of German physician Samuel Hahnemann who created this alternative system of medicine nearly 200 years. “Homeopathy is one of the most popular medical systems in India, in fact, a close second among the AYUSH services in India. There are growing numbers of users, practitioners, colleges, educational institutes, as well as various homeopathic clinics in India.
AYUSH is the acronym of the medical systems that are being practiced in India such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.Academic homoeopathy colleges / institutes comprise 35.8% of AYUSH colleges, while homeopathy doctors / practitioners comprise 37% of the AYUSH in total. According to the Ministry of Ayush’s Council for Research in Homeopathy India has biggest drug manufacture and traders’ sector in Homoeopathy,”
India’s annual market size for Homeopathy is estimated to be 51.69 crore US dollars, as per industry experts.
